Marathon training

I began about a week ago with the decision that I wanted to carry out a lifelong goal of mine, to run a marathon. I tried it almost 10 years ago , but with a young child, new career, and a poor training and nutrition strategy I ended up nursing nagging injuries and settled for the half. This time I am going all in with a running coach and nutritionist. Previous to this my running has been almost non existent and my nutrition absolute trash. It’s now May 2nd and I am beginning the first week of hopefully many more in the training pipeline. 38 feeling every bit of 40 due to some overseas stints and an active infantry lifestyle let’s see how this journey goes as I try to transform from essentially couch to 26.2. Small victories is my mantra and my successes are going to be measured by days not the final outcome. The overall goal is to run it in under 3:45, but again right now the goal is to take each day at a time. My main focus is maintaining discipline in my daily regime, managing my time better, and just being overall better structured in my life. For those that are following thank you in advance for your support as in all things we can’t do it alone. See you at the end of 26.2
